Celebrations are a joy!

January: Jolly Daddies. Similar to Christmas, it's simply a two day holiday that starts on Jan. 3rd and ends Jan. 4th. The first day consists of Family and friends gathering for a bonfire, grill out and good food. Everyone tries to bring a covered dish to support the food yumage. Everyone stays outside all day, despite any weather through out Terra, during nightfall everyone lazes out on blankets and watches the stars. People travel all over to be with family and close friends they haven't seen in ages. The Second Day consists of gift giving. You buy no gifts for yourself, adults are included as well besides the children and strangely marketers have always stressed this is not about how many gifts you give or get but the quality and what you can afford.

Febuary: Febuary is book reading month. Anyone who doesn't typically read is encouraged to do so. It may sound odd but for awhile education was lucklaster in Terra, so some governments in Ganosh, Ivalice and Spira banded together to get their people to read. Eventually it spread like wildfire. Now libraries are thriving again and in the week of Feb. 21st through 28th, books you've read can be exchanged and discussed with fellow book lovers at your local library. People also bring baked goods and it would seem it's the only time allowed to be somewhat loud in a library.

March: This may sound strange but ducks and geese start migrating toward climates that were cold for the winter, as it starts to thaw a lot and the sun is shining, people take themselves to lakes, and such to feed the ducks seed but not bread as it's been outlawed by governments. Everyone grills out, pets a duck and avoids the geese and feeds them anyway. It's basically called Duck Giving Day.

April: Being that it's spring, love is in the air. We give you Happy Happy Love Day April 15th. It's basically Valentine's day with a twist, people celebrate all sorts of love instead: Sibling, Parent/Child, Bestfriends, Bros, Sisters, Bestcousins, Grandparent/Grandchild and yes, romantic love. You give small keepsake/sentimental gifts and baked goods that day. This holiday is not about chocolate, it's about cookies, muffins and scones. With a side of bubble tea.

May: Is International Film Day May 11th. Basically people come together, with very few resources and create small short 5-10 minute films online. They're submitted to TerraTube, where they're analyzed, judged and the victors get prizes. 1st place: 50,000 Gil, tickets to a a concert of their choosing for a whole group of friends and top notch film equipment to encourage them to keep going. Second place usually gets 20,000 Gil, concert tickets for two to whatever they choose, and affordable film equipment to encourage them. Third place gets 10,000 Gil, and a year supply of bread from Sampson's bakery, which is a world wide brand.

June: International Music Day June 28th. Fun part? Free concerts everywhereeeeee. Local bands, popular bands. Just buy merchandise, and food to support them for their time and talents. Free c.ds are given out, there's raffles for Metunes (music player called MePLAYER), even music equipment can be won in certain areas of the world especially when you're talented and upcoming.

The Garden Festival takes place for All Gardens on June 19th. Each Garden takes turns hosting everywhere, so hear the gripes of Selphie Tilmitt who hates handing over the reigns to what she started but feels grateful that it became a thing finally. It's basically a huge carnival, with rides, live bands, concession stands, prize booths, mascots, and just good wholesome fun. All country hosts have a lot of space, so it makes sense. Other people not from Garden are welcome, but use discretion, SeeD guards and they're wary.

July: Thanksgiving. Sound familiar? It should. Difference is, people around Terra were ungrateful for what they had for awhile. So Planos started this holiday over fifty years ago and it spread like wildfire. Basically people bring food, make food and gather in homes or outside them to hang out, chill, and retell tales of their youth or talk about their kids and certainly how grateful they are for what they have. Blitzball matches are on around this time, so men and women alike gather in front of the television to have a thrill of a good time.

The Summer Festival is celebrated in Balamb, people come from all over to celebrate and try the famous gross Balamb Fish. Concession stands, live music, laughter, good times in the streets of Balamb Town.

August: There's a Holiday that resembles Halloween but is not so. It's called Dress up day, instigated by a bunch of five year olds in kintergarten writing their King in Amethyst City in Myriadia and then it spread to all regions. People basically throw costume parties world wide and have big celebrations, much of them kid friendly. Of course there's adult parties though. just good food, lots of baked goods and candy. Everyone roleplays out fun scenes or does some larping in general.

From September to Dcember, the world gives Holidays a break except for the fall and Winter festivals. The fall festivals takes place in Ivalice and Planos November 8th. And the winter festival takes place in Trabia (Ganosh) and Nibelhelm (Planos) on December 26th.
