THE SOLDIER PROGRAM: MIDGAR + WUTAI

SOLDIER is a program that was started in Midgar over 80 years ago upon the discovery of liquid mako being capable of making someone smarter, faster, stronger and more reflexive. Shinra Headquarters on the top plate of Midgar, decided to make SOLDIERS, enhanced men who would resolve conflicts world wide if necessary. Truthfully Shinra is only about personal gain but they also want to keep the peace, therefore it's no surprise a lot of conflicts leads to claims of greed and gaslighting. Wutai made their own program years later, and they are far more lenient and only seek peace within their violence.

Anyway, SOLDIER is a grueling and difficult program to deal with. Only the best of the best make it through, even in Wutai. Men live in dorms/barracks of three starting out in Third Class and the higher the class, the more they upgrade to better room, broad and money. The thing about liquid mako injections is this: those who can't get past the injections? Fail and go home to mama. People who reject the serum tend to get sick or poisoned and have to stop before adverse sideeffects occur from continued use like: messed up motor functions, floppy neck, weak muscles etc etc

SOLDIER can be joined by anyone 16-35 years old. First class gets 5,000 Gil a week, private penthouse quarters and free weapon upgrades. Second class gets a small apartment, 3,000 a week and minimum payment weapon upgrades. Third class gets to share a dorm with two people, 1, 500 a week and free weapon upgrades, given they're doing well in the program.
