It has a very modern atmosphere concerning the people. They once had an ancient race living among them called the Cetra but they haven't been around for a really long time except for the rumored hidden few. Their continent runs on mako energy, which tends to harm Terra or so some people have been saying, especially scientists native to the Planos religion. SOLDIER is a program in Midgar, Wutai and Junon. They're merceernaries and yet an army for eeach little country.

Recently people have been using activism to try and shut down mako reactors and use coal and solar energy instead. There is also tensions between Wutai and Midgar for land between them. Traveling between places can be dangerous, because there's a lot of monsters that roam.

MIDGAR

Midgar is an unfair and unjust place to live but some people have been here all their lives and refuse to leave. It's a huge city/country basically that is cut out off into sectors. Getting in is easy, getting out really isn't.

SECTOR 0 - The rich district is plain to see, well as the headquarters of Shinra. Only the wealthy, SOLDIER and powerful seem to live here.

Sector 1 - Still the wealthiest of people.

Sector 2 - And are you wealthy? Why yes.

Sector 3 - Only the middle class, please.

Sector 4 - This is where we start getting less with the money and more with the hungry.

Sector 5 - This is slumming district, poorer and poorer we're getting. There's a church, many homes and even a few restaurants.

Sector 6 - There used to be the Honey Bee Inn, but it was taken down years ago for illegal activities. There's still Wall Market, several shops, restaurants, a gym and Don Coreno's mansion though.

Sector 7 - The poorest of the poor but also the most friendly and willing to help a stranger out. They are so below the plate, that they're considered subhuman. There's a small school that teaches job classes, diner shacks, some places for work and Tifa's bar 7th Heaven. There's also Gustav's labs, which is where all the otherworlders appear from.

Junon - A small town on the outskirts of Midgar. It has a SOLDIER program, and what they keep secret? They have better SOLDIERS than Midgar of Wutai. More first class than both of them. For some reason their success rate is high with mako injections. It's near the beach with playful dolphins as well.

Kalm - A small cobblestone town, full of item shops, restaurants and the like.

Chocobo Farm - One of the best in the region near Kalm. It's been good for breeding for the last 100 years.

Cave Of Wonders - Before entering this cave, be wary, there's giant snake monsters around. They guard the cave for some reason as if trained to do so. Inside you'll find plenty to explore and find once you've possibly defeated an enemy.

Nibelheim - A small town that was used as Shinra's testing ground for a long time. There's a huge mansion where Thomas Garrison, the mayor lives. An Inn, several houses, item shops, a few restaurants and it's no surprise that a lot of the boys run off to join SOLDIER programs. Small town dreams, right?

Rocket Town - Another small town where they had dreams of coming up with a space program. It never happened and now a simple rocket ship sits at a dock, chained and unlaunched.

Gongaga - A teeny tiny village of fifty or so people. It has reddish earth, a small restaurant, a small hut like school, and people make a living at towns near by.

Banora - Same as Gongaga just more up to date home wise.

Wutai - What a beautiful city, it has Japanese style houses, Inns and restaurants. The SOLDIER program here is sought after highly, but they tend to not really let outsiders into theirs.

Mideel - This is where something called the lifestream resides. It's unusually green in color, glowing but when people try communicating with it, no such blessings. Mideel however is a comfortable and inviting town, a tourist attraction if you will.

Cosmo Canyon - A tribe lives here in the craved out mountain. They seem to have plenty of knowledge about Terra and it's future if Mako Energy continues through out Planos and beyond.

Costa Del Sol - A Beach resort town, that gets a lot of traffic all year long.

North Corel - A mining town that died out a long time ago. They still mine but now for natural materia instead of man-made. Natural materia sells for more and yes they sell it here but we promise, it gets expensive. They find Green Lightning materia? Guess what. It's stronger and costs 5'000 gil. Anyway, North Corel has an express train leading somewhere special. Lets find out where.

The Golden Saucer - It's a 24-hour carnival, where rides, games and even chocobo races take place. There's even a fancy Inn as well. It's great for date, okay?

Icicle Town and Inn - You can snowboard here! An innovative new sport that the town came up with.

Northern Cave - This cave starts inside the Icicle Mountain. It's huge. Really huge. We're talking so deep, that you're likely to get lost if you don't get a map from Icicle Inn. It's filled with all kinds of monsters, really tough monsters but if you want to explore, discover and grab loot, then you'll need to tough it out. Just make sure you have a party of five altogeter or you're not making it through and back in one piece.
